University of Maragheh Professor Recognized for Cooperation with Community and Industry

According to the PR Department of the University of Maragheh, this evaluation is based on criteria such as participation in national and regional activities, implementation of demand-driven research contracts, providing effective solutions to address the country's issues, cooperation with various organizations and industries to enhance productivity and efficiency, and involvement in scientific networks and specialized associations. In total, 172 faculty members from universities, research institutes, and higher education centers across the country have been recognized as top contributors in collaborating with society and industry. Their names will be included in the 2024 Yearbook to acknowledge, encourage, and support their efforts.

Among Dr. Farzaneh's notable achievements are the localization of technical knowledge for analyzing data from non-destructive tests using replica methods for high-temperature components, updating and localizing remaining life estimation methods, and root cause analysis of industrial component failures. He has also played a significant role in training students and introducing them to the job market.

His experiences in the activities and planning of national and international companies include participating in planning sessions to assess the potential of the province's mining industries, being involved in working groups to develop national and international standards, and advising technical managers in various industries on issues related to production line failures and outages.

Also, examining the conditions and estimating the remaining lifespan of fixed and mobile components of a power plant turbine and examining the conditions and estimating the remaining lifespan of a combined cycle boiler are among the most important "demand-driven contracts" of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Maragheh's professor.

Dr. Amir Farzaneh's "special collaborations with national institutions and industries for improved efficiency and effectiveness" include working with power generation plants on lifespan estimation and providing preventive methods for the performance of used gas turbine parts. He also collaborates with power generation plants on investigating the causes of failure, estimating lifespan, and providing preventive methods for combined and thermal cycle boilers.

Establishing a laboratory for estimating the lifespan of industrial components at the University of Maragheh, membership in national and international scientific committees and conferences, and participating in professional working groups for the development and localization of Iranian national standards are considered among the doctor's effective roles in the creation and operation of scientific networks and influential specialized organizations.

The PR Department of the University of Maragheh congratulates Dr. Amir Farzaneh, the University's Office of Industry Relations, and the university community on this remarkable and valuable achievement.
