University of Maragheh Among Iran’s Top 34 Universities in the 2025 Times Impact Rankings

The University of Maragheh has been recognized among Iran’s leading universities in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which evaluate universities’ contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university was ranked 15th among comprehensive universities under the supervision of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, and was also included in the list of the world's most influential universities, with an overall ranking of over 1500.

According to the university’s Public Relations Department, the 2025 list features 34 universities from Iran, representing institutions from both the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.

The Times Impact Rankings assess how effectively universities address global challenges across seventeen thematic SDGs. Universities that submit data on all seventeen goals and at least three additional goals are included in the overall global ranking.
